| Continuous Length |
We sell some cord and beaded chain per metre. We describe this as being supplied in one Continuous Length, i.e. if you buy 10 metres it comes in one continuous length of 10 metres rather than in 10 indiviual pieces 1 metre long. |
| Continuous Loop |
Continuous Loop means a cord or beaded chain which is has no end. |
| Cord Drawn |
This refers to track which are operated by pulling on cords which in turn open and close the curtains. |
| Double Centre Return Pulley |
When a track is corded from both sides it used a Double Centre Return Pulley sometimes called an Intermediate Pulley to effectively split the track in two. |
| Hand Drawn |
Hand Drawn simply means that you pull the curtains along by hand as opposed to either a cord operated track or an electrically operated track. |
| Handed |
Handed refers to items which have a left hand and a right hand component. e.g. some end pulleys and end stops are sold in pairs because one part of the pair goes on the left hand side of the track and the other on the right hand side. |
| Intermediate Pulley |
When a track is corded from both sides it used an Intermediate Pulley sometimes called a Double Centre Return Pulley to effectively split the track in two. |
| Master Gliders |
These for part of the Overlap Set on corded curtain tracks and are the part to which the cord is attached and facilitate the drawing of the curtains. |
| Overlap Set |
On cord drawn tracks this is the part which draws the curtain to the centre and back again. On cord drawn and hand drawn tracks it is the part which overlaps in the middle to ensure no light passes in the centre where the curtains meet. |
| Retrofit |
Retrofit refers to gliders which can fitted into the track or rail after it has been installed without the need to remove the track or even the end stops. |
| Track Profile |
This refers to the shape of the track as seen from the end, or in technical terms the section. Some parts such as gliders will fit several track profiles. |
